Irina Maria Peterson is an explorer, environmental activist, and ocean advocate based in Monaco. With over two decades of experience in finance and wealth management, she has redirected her efforts toward environmental preservation, particularly ocean protection. Irina assists companies and individuals in adopting sustainable practices to tackle global environmental challenges. As a self-described “imperfect activist,” she participated in the eXXpedition crew in early 2020, researching plastic pollution in the Galapagos and Easter Island. 

Irina holds an MBA in Finance from the International University of Monaco and has completed sustainability programs through edX and Stanford University. She is a professional member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals and serves on the board of OceanoScientific Monaco. Additionally, she is involved with Monaco Impact, the Yacht Club of Monaco, and is an ambassador for Passion Sea and eXXpedition. Irina founded Ocean Amazon in 2020, offering sustainability advisory services and promoting clean environmental products and services.
